Flexible Swathing

Kubota DM4032S COMPACT is a new 3.2m front mounted plain mower that offers an efficient solution for narrow swathing. It solves the challenge of combining a crop merging system with the weight limitations related to small horsepower tractors. The DM4032S COMPACT enables swath widths down to just 1.0m.

Mower positioned close to the tractor

The new COMPACT version is designed specifically to go well with smaller horsepower tractors starting as low as 45hp/33kw. It features a compact headstock bringing mower and gravity point closer to the tractor. The headstock is positioned just behind the auger, which is especially appreciated when using smaller tractors in hilly terrain, as this compactness leads to best possible control during operation.

Swath width as narrow as 1.0m

The DM4032S COMPACT collects the crop based on an auger solution. The auger is an efficient solution for crop collection with a minimum of soil contamination. The auger is positioned right behind the cutterbar and guides the crop towards the centre.

The crop is cut and placed in an airy, fluffy swath, unlike typical plain mower swaths, which are generally flatter. This means it is easier to pick up the crop with a minimum of crop loss. The auger is a low weight, low horse-power solution that efficiently guides the crop well in between the tractor wheels. In this way tractor wheels will not run on mown crop and reduced feed quality through soil contamination is avoided. Swaths as narrow as 1.0m can be achieved with the Kubota auger solution, depending on crop and conditions.

Adjustable swath width for increased flexibility

The DM4032S COMPACT is designed to maximize uptime of the mower and is customized for a number of mowing jobs. It is able to place variable swath widths of 1.0m, 1.15m and 1.30 for customisation of swath widths to differing circumstances. This is easily set by adjusting the crop guide wings. To offer full flexibility the crop guide wings are dismountable to offer wide spreading of 2.2m. This is done in less than 5 minutes.

Is this way the DM4032S COMPACT is designed to fit a number of applications. The narrow swathing of 1m or 1.15m makes it an ideal partner for direct pick-up with a loader wagon, while the wide spreading ability makes the COMPACT version an excellent solution for hay making in combination with a rear mounted mower.
